TOAKS Titanium Long Handle Spoon with Polished Bowl

  • Material: Titanium
  • Weight: 0.65 oz (19g)
  • Length: 8 1/2″ (215mm)
  • Comes with an orange nylon bag

The TOAKS Titanium Long Handle Spoon isn’t the only ultralight spoon I own, but it is my favorite. Since my meal of choice in the evenings is a prepackaged dehydrated meal, which are almost always sold in a “tall” bag, this spoon is ideal. Using a regular length utensil to get your food out of a tall bag, will almost always lead to you getting food on your hand from the inside of the top of the package. Then you either waste time or hand sanitizer cleaning yourself, or risk ingesting bacteria from licking clean your not always sanitary back-country fingers.

TOAKS Titanium Long Handle Spoon (Unpolished)

Almost exactly the same as above, except for minor weight savings and the fact that the bowl of the spoon, where you put your mouth, has a “powder coated” finish. That’s the only way I know how to describe it. I really don’t like the texture. Even though this spoon is actually a few grams lighter, I usually opt for the smooth bowl version and push this one on non-gear owning friends when we go for an overnight-er.

TOAKS Titanium Folding Spork

  • Material: Titanium
  • Weight: 0.6 oz (18g)
  • Length: 6 1/2″ (165mm) when unfold. 3 3/4″ (95mm) when folded
  • Has two folding sections which make it one of the most compact utensils on the market
  • Lightweight and extremely durable
  • Folds small enough to pack anywhere
  • Locking slider to keep it from collapsing while in use

The TOAKS Titanium Folding Spork is made with ultralight backpackers and everyday campers in mind. The unique design combines the best parts of spoon and the best parts of a fork and puts them into the same utensil. When you’re done eating, simply lick it clean, fold it up, and tuck it away or hang it on the outside of your pack. I was worried that the slider would get worn out and lose after many uses, but it has held up nicely and still locks in the open position securely every time. My only complaint about the Toaks Titanium Folding Spork is that it is short compared to other options, so not ideal for eating from deep dishes, or out of tall bags.
